How to Fix a Screen Door

How to Install Laminate Flooring on your Ceiling

1. Remove the screen door: Remove the screen door from its frame by lifting it and pulling it out. Lay it on a flat surface to work on.

2. Remove the old screen: Use a screwdriver to remove the screws or clips holding the screen frame in place. Carefully remove the old screen material from the frame.

3. Measure and cut the new screen material: Measure the dimensions of the screen frame and cut the new screen material to the appropriate size, leaving a little bit of extra material on all sides.

4. Install the new screen material: Place the new screen material over the frame and use the screen spline tool to insert the spline into the groove on the frame. Start at one corner and work around the frame, gently pressing the spline into the groove as you go. Be sure to keep the screen taut as you work.

5. Trim the excess screen material: Once the spline is in place, use a utility knife or scissors to trim the extra screen material, being careful not to cut the spline.

6. Reinstall the screen door: Reinstall the screen door into its frame and test it to ensure that it slides smoothly and that the screen is secure.
