OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

These Contest Rules and Regulations (“Rules”) govern KENT Building Supplies’ The Great 50,000 AIR MILES ™ Giveaway (the “Contest”). The Contest is open only to residents of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador (“Atlantic Canada”) who are AIR MILES® collectors aged 19 or older at the time of entry. The Contest is Sponsored and administered by KENT Building Supplies, 300 Union Street, Saint John, NB E2L 4G7 (the “Sponsor”). AIR MILES Loyalty Inc. is in no way connected to the management of this contest.
Contest begins at 12:00:01 AM AST on Tuesday , September 3rd, 2024, and ends at 11:59:59 PM AST on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 (the “Contest Period”).

Prize(s):
One (1) grand prize of a 50,000 AIR MILES® Reward Miles™ (the “Grand Prize”) is available to be won. Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be redeemed for cash value. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize in whole or in part in its sole discretion. Details regarding the approximate retail value of the Grand Prize are outlined below under “Prize Details and Redemption.”

Eligibility:
To enter and to be eligible to win the Grand Prize, the entrant must be a legal resident of Atlantic Canada who is 19 years of age or older at the time of entry and be an AIR MILES® collector. If you are not already an AIR MILES collector, you may enroll in the AIR MILES Reward Program by visiting airmiles.ca. By enrolling to become an AIR MILES collector, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the AIR MILES Reward Program as amended from time to time. For the purpose of these Rules, the entrant is the individual in whose name the AIR MILES collector number associated with the Eligible Entry (as defined below) has been established and this is the individual to whom the Grand Prize will be awarded if they are selected and declared a winner. You are not eligible to enter if you are, reside with (whether or not related), or are an immediate family member of, an employee, director, officer, or retiree of KENT Building Supplies or AIR MILES Loyalty Inc. For the purpose of these Rules, “immediate family member” means spouse, parent, child, or sibling. Individuals satisfying the above criteria are “Eligible Entrants”.

How To Enter:
1. Purchase Entry: Make a Qualifying Purchase (defined below) at any KENT store location in Atlantic Canada or online at KENT.ca during the Contest Period and enter, present, or scan your AIR MILES® card at the time of purchase to automatically receive one (1) entry into the Contest. A “Qualifying Purchase” is a purchase of $20 or more in a single transaction before applicable taxes (purchases made on KENT charge accounts, KENT Financing deferred payments and KENT gift cards are excluded from entry). You will get one (1) entry for every Qualifying Purchase during the Contest Period. Purchasing more than $20 in a single transaction will not increase your odds of winning. No limit to the number of Qualifying Purchase transactions per entrant per day during the Contest Period.

2. No Purchase Necessary - Mail Entry: To receive one (1) entry into the Contest without making a Qualifying Purchase, print the first and last name as displayed on your AIR MILES® account, provide your AIR MILES® collector number, complete mailing address and telephone number on a plain piece of paper and mail it to the following address: KENT Marketing Department, PO Box 1200, 300 Union Street, Saint John, NB, E2L 4G7 (a “Mail Entry”). No mechanical reproduction permitted. Mail Entries must be readily legible. Mail Entries must be post marked by the Contest end date (11:59:59 PM AST on Wednesday, October 2, 2024) to be entered to the Contest. There is no limit to the number of Mail Entries during the Contest Period, however each Mail Entry must be in a separate postage-paid envelope. You will receive one (1) entry into the Contest for each valid Mail Entry received.

Qualifying Purchase entries and Mail Entries are collectively referred to as “Eligible Entries”. The odds of winning are dependent on the total number of Eligible Entries received during the Contest Period.

Prize Details and Redemption:
The approximate retail value of an AIR MILES Reward Miles Prize depends on the chosen method of redemption, available Reward options at the time of redemption, and the set preference between AIR MILES Cash and AIR MILES Dream Accounts. If redeemed with AIR MILES Cash, 95 Cash Miles can be used in-store for $10 towards purchases at participating AIR MILES Partners or 95 Cash Miles can be used online for eVouchers for $10 worth of value at participating Reward Partners. If redeemed for flights value depends on destination chosen, date of travel and use of multiple carriers or suppliers. Winner must pay applicable taxes, related transportation fees, governmental levies, excess baggage and other non-ticket costs. The value of AIR MILES Reward Miles used for non-flight Reward options depends on Reward options in effect at the time of redemption. AIR MILES Reward Miles prize is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the AIR MILES Reward Program as amended from time to time. The Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash and must be accepted as awarded.

AIR MILES Reward Miles Prize will be posted directly into the AIR MILES collector account of the confirmed winner 120 days after the random draw. To ensure that the winner receives the Prize in their preferred account, winner should ensure their balance preference (AIR MILES Cash Account and AIR MILES Dream Account) is set as desired prior to the Prize being posted in their collector account.

Prize is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the AIR MILES Reward Program as amended from time to time.

Prize Winner Selection:
One (1) Eligible Entrant will be selected by random draw for the Grand Prize. A random selection for the Grand Prize will be made on or about Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 (the “Draw Date”), from all Eligible Entries received (or for Mailed Entries, post-marked) by the end of the Contest Period. The selected Eligible Entrant will be contacted by email or phone call at the email address or phone number associated with the Eligible Entry, within ten (10) business days of the applicable Draw Date (the “Notification”). If the selected Eligible Entrant cannot be contacted (or fails to respond) within 5 business days from the time of initial contact, he or she will be disqualified and forfeits the Grand Prize, and another Eligible Entrant will be selected at random from the remaining Eligible Entries, who shall be contacted by the same process and subject to winning and disqualification in the same manner. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the total number of Eligible Entries received during the Contest Period.

To be declared the Contest winner and receive the Grand Prize, the selected Eligible Entrant must first correctly answer (without any assistance, mechanical or otherwise) a skill testing question and sign a release in the form provided by Sponsor, confirming compliance with the Rules, and accept the Grand Prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsor, KENT Building Supplies, as well as AIR MILES Loyalty Inc., and each of their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any liability in connection with the Contest or the Grand Prize. The release must be returned within the time period specified by Sponsor, or the Grand Prize may be forfeited at sole discretion of Sponsor. If any selected Eligible Entrant (a) fails to meet the conditions set out above, (b) does not respond to the Notification within the time stipulated, or (c) does not meet Contest eligibility requirements or is not fully compliant with the Rules, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion without right of appeal, disqualify the selected Eligible Entrant and select an alternate selected Eligible Entrant by random draw until a Contest winner is declared.

General:
1. The Releasees shall have no liability for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the Contest or acceptance of the Grand Prize. The Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, falsified or destroyed entries and all such entries are void. Entries that have been falsified, tampered with, or altered are void. The Sponsor shall not be liable for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed, or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software, or any combination thereof. Entry material/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. In the event it is determined that an entrant has entered in a fashion not sanctioned by these Rules and/or has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these Rules, all the entries submitted by the entrant will be disqualified. The Sponsor reserves the right to terminate or suspend this Contest or to amend the Rules at any time and in any way, without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, the Sponsor reserves the right, to cancel the Contest and conduct a draw from all previously received eligible entries received.

2. In the event of dispute over the identity of the potential Grand Prize winner, an entry will be declared as entered by the authorized account holder of the AIR MILES® collector card used to submit the entry, and the potential Grand Prize winner may be required to provide identification sufficient to show that he/she is the authorized account holder. It is the sole responsibility of entrants to notify the Sponsor in writing if the entrant changes his or her e-mail address or any other contact information during the Contest Period. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Sponsor’s Contest server machine(s).

3. The Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from entrants will only be used by the Sponsor or its representatives to administer the Contest. By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the manner of collection, use and disclosure of personal information as set out in the Sponsor’s privacy statement, which is available at: www.kent.ca/privacy .

4. By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees (a) that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and federal laws applicable therein, and (b) to irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of New Brunswick over any claim or matter arising under or in connection with the Contest or these Official Rules & Regulations.

5. AIR MILES Loyalty Inc. is in no way connected to the management of this Contest and accepts no responsibility for ensuring that these Rules and related advertising material do not contain any statements, claims or representations that are misleading or inaccurate and are otherwise in compliance with the laws of general application.
