Contest Rules and Regulations:

The Contest is open only to residents of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador (“Atlantic Canada”) AIR MILES^® collectors aged 19 or older at the time of entry. These Contest Rules and Regulations (“Rules”) govern KENT Building Supplies $5,000 AIR MILES^® Travel Voucher Giveaway (the “Contest”). The Contest is Sponsored and administered by KENT Building Supplies, 300 Union Street, Saint John, NB E2L 4G7 (the “Sponsor”). AIR MILES Loyalty Inc. (“AIR MILES”) is in no way connected to the management of this contest.

Contest begins at 12:00:01 AM AST on Thursday, April 4, 2024, and ends at 11:59:59 PM AST on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 (the “Contest Period”).

Prize:

One (1) grand prize of a $5,000 AIR MILES^® Travel Voucher (the “Grand Prize”) is available to be won. Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be redeemed for cash value. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize in whole or in part in its sole discretion.

Eligibility:

To enter and to be eligible to win the Grand Prize the entrant must be a legal resident of Atlantic Canada who is 19 years of age or older at the time of entry and be an AIR MILES^® collector. You are not eligible to enter if you are, reside with (whether or not related), or are an immediate family member of, an employee, director, officer, or retiree of KENT Building Supplies or AIR MILES Loyalty Inc. For the purpose of these Rules, “Immediate Family Member” means spouse, parent, child, or sibling. Individuals satisfying the above criteria are “Eligible Entrants”.

How to Receive an AIR MILES^® Card?

To enroll in the AIR MILES Reward Program and receive an AIR MILES card, visit www.airmiles.ca. The AIR MILES card can be obtained free of charge. By enrolling to become an AIR MILES collector, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the AIR MILES Reward Program.

How to Enter:

Purchase Entry:

Make a Qualifying Purchase (defined below) at any KENT store location in Atlantic Canada or online at KENT.ca during the Contest Period and enter, present, or scan your AIR MILES^® card at the time of purchase to automatically receive one (1) entry into the Contest. A “Qualifying Purchase” is a purchase of $20 or more before applicable taxes, (purchases made on KENT charge accounts, KENT Financing deferred payments and KENT gift cards are excluded from entry). You will get one (1) entry for every Qualifying Purchase during the Contest Period. Purchasing more than $20 in a single transaction will not increase your odds of winning. No limit to the number of Qualifying Purchase transactions per entrant per day during the Contest Period.

No Purchase Entry - Mail Entry:

To automatically receive one (1) entry into the Contest without purchase, print the first and last name as displayed on your AIR MILES^® account, provide your AIR MILES^® collector number, complete mailing address and telephone number on a plain piece of paper and mail it to the following address: KENT Marketing Department, PO Box 1200, 300 Union Street, Saint John, NB, E2L 4G7 (a “Mail Entry”) No mechanical reproduction permitted. Entries must be readily legible. Mailed entries must be post marked by the Contest end date (11:59:59 PM AST on Wednesday, May 1, 2024) to be entered to the Contest. Each Mailed Entry must be in a separate postage-paid envelope. You will receive one (1) entry into the Contest for each valid Mailed Entry received.
Qualifying Purchase entries and Mail Entries are collectively referred to as “Eligible Entries”. The odds of winning are dependent on the total number of Eligible Entries received on or before the end of the Contest Period.

Prize Details and Redemption:

The AIR MILES^® Travel Voucher can be used towards the purchase of travel products available for purchase by credit card on AIR MILES Travel, such as flights and hotels, up to a limit of $5,000 CDN. To redeem this voucher, the confirmed winner must inform KENT Building Supplies that they wish to redeem their voucher by sending an email to mcmillan.emily@kent.ca and providing the following information: first and last name, telephone number to be contacted at and dates and times when they are available for AIR MILES Travel Ambassadors to contact them. At one of the provided dates and times, an AIR MILES Travel Ambassador will contact the confirmed winner to book travel. Any cost of travel above $5,000 will require payment by any major valid credit card. The full $5,000 CDN voucher value must be used in a maximum of 3 bookings. If the full $5,000 CDN value is not used at the time of the third booking, then any remaining balance is forfeited. The confirmed winner will have 12 months from the date they are confirmed as the contest winner to redeem the full value of the AIR MILES Travel Voucher. The Grand Prize cannot be combined with any other promotional offer or offers provided by AIR MILES Travel. The Grand Prize cannot be sold and in the event that it is sold, the Grand Prize will be void.

The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $5,000 CDN. Flights value depends on destination chosen, date of travel and use of multiple carriers or suppliers. Winner must pay applicable taxes, related transportation fees, governmental levies, excess baggage and other non-ticket costs. AIR MILES Travel Voucher prize is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the AIR MILES Reward Program as amended from time to time.

For the purposes of these Rules, the entrant is the individual in whose name the AIR MILES collector account has been established and this is the individual to whom the Grand Prize will be awarded if they are selected and declared a winner.

Prize Winner Selection:

One (1) entrant will be selected by random draw for the Grand Prize. A random selection for the Grand Prize will be made on or about Thursday, May 16, 2024 (the “Draw Date”), from all Eligible Entries received (or for Mailed Entries, post-marked) by the end of the Contest Period. The selected Eligible Entrant will be contacted by email or phone call associated with the Eligible Entry, within ten (10) business days of the applicable Draw Date (the “Notification”). If the selected Eligible Entrant cannot be contacted (or fails to respond) within 5 business days from the time of initial contact, he or she will be disqualified and forfeits the prize, and another Eligible Entrant will be selected at random from the remaining Eligible Entries, who shall be contacted by the same process and subject to winning and disqualification in the same manner. Odds of winning the Grand Prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

To be declared the Contest winner and receive the Grand Prize, the selected Eligible Entrant must first correctly answer a skill testing question and sign a release in the form provided by Sponsor, confirming compliance with the Contest Rules, and accept the Grand Prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsor, KENT Building Supplies, as well as AIR MILES Loyalty Inc., and each of their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any liability in connection with the Contest or any prize. The release must be returned within the time period specified by Sponsor, or the Grand Prize may be forfeited at sole discretion of Sponsor. If any selected Eligible Entrant (a) fails to meet the conditions set out above, (b) does not respond to the Notification within the time stipulated, or (c) does not meet Contest eligibility requirements or is not fully compliant with the Contest Rules, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion without right of appeal, disqualify a Selected Entrant and select an alternate selected Eligible Entrant by random draw until a Contest winner is declared.

General:

The Sponsor, KENT Building Supplies, as well as AIR MILES Loyalty Inc., shall have no liability for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the Contest or acceptance of a prize. The Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, falsified or destroyed entries and all such entries are void. Entries that have been falsified, tampered with, or altered are void. The Sponsor shall not be liable for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed, or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software, or any combination thereof. Entry material/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. In the event it is determined that an entrant has entered in a fashion not sanctioned by these Rules and/or has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these Rules, all the entries submitted by the entrant will be disqualified. The Sponsor reserves the right to terminate or suspend this Contest or to amend the Rules at any time and in any way, without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, the Sponsor reserves the right, to cancel the Contest and conduct a draw from all previously received eligible entries received.
In the event of dispute over the identity of the potential Grand Prize winner, an entry will be declared as entered by the authorized account holder of the AIR MILES^® collector card used to submit the entry, and the potential Grand Prize winner may be required to provide identification sufficient to show that he/she is the authorized account holder. It is the sole responsibility of entrants to notify the Sponsor in writing if the entrant changes his or her e-mail address or any other contact information during the Contest Period. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Sponsor’s Contest server machine(s).
The Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from entrants will only be used by the Sponsor or its representatives to administer the Contest. By entering the Contest, entrant’s consent to the manner of collection, use and disclosure of personal information as set out in the Sponsor’s privacy statement, which is available at: www.kent.ca/privacy .
By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees (a) that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and federal laws applicable therein, and (b) to irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of New Brunswick over any claim or matter arising under or in connection with the Contest or these Official Rules & Regulations.
