DIY Christmas Craft: Snowflake Ornament

Creating handmade Christmas tree ornaments is a fun and festive activity for children and adults. Materials You Will Need:

Wooden clothespins (8 per snowflake)
White acrylic paint or spray paint
Paintbrushes (if using acrylic paint)

Hot glue gun or strong craft glue
Twine or ribbon for hanging

Step 1: Prepare and Paint

Disassemble the clothespins by removing the metal springs. You will need 16 wooden pieces for each snowflake.
Use white acrylic paint or spray paint to cover the wooden pieces completely. Allow the pieces to dry thoroughly. While the paint is wet, add glitter or sequins for a more festive look.

Step 2: Assemble the Snowflake

Pair the flat sides of two clothespin pieces and glue them to form a “V” shape. Repeat this step to create 8 “V” shapes.
Arrange the “V” shapes into a circular pattern to form a snowflake. Use glue to secure each piece in place where they meet.

Step 3: Add Twine or Ribbon

Once the glue is dry and the snowflake is sturdy, attach twine or ribbon to the top of the ornament for hanging. Loop the twine through a gap between the clothespins and tie a knot.
