Ed Blackwood ProfileEd Blackwood Profile

Ed began work for Kent Clarenville in April of 2012, during the initial store setup. When the store opened to customers in June of that year, he became a Project Desk associate, a role in which he remains today.

Being knowledgeable is an important part of his job and so he makes sure to take the time to get an understanding of a customer’s needs before using his expertise and experience to offer suggestions for their project. His coworkers, especially those at the Project Centre, are a great asset and they are always able to offer helpful suggestions and advice. All of this is in service to Ed’s customers to whom he is committed, saying, “For me great customer service means providing the same service that I would expect and appreciate if I were a customer.”.

Ed’s history in the Clarenville area started about 40 years ago when he came here as an educator. As an educator, Ed has involved himself in several volunteer activities with students, such as coaching volleyball and basketball teams, assisting with drama productions and student exchange travel. In the community he has been a member of the Lion Club International organization for 36 years. This is one of the largest service organization in the world providing charitable assistance to people locally, nationally, and internationally.
