The included low-profile vent hood is constructed from UV-resistant plastic that resists fading and discoloration from the sun, and is paintable to match the exterior of your home. The hood louvers open easily for maximum airflow, and close when not in use to help prevent back drafts. For safe and efficient operation, the kit features a 4-inch x 8-foot UL-certified flexible aluminum foil clothes dryer transition duct that is heat- and flame-resistant. Designed for easy installation, the kit also includes two 4-in metal tension clamps and a 4-inch mounting collar. This dryer venting kit is recommended for use with both electric and gas clothes dryers.
