The Makita KP0800 3-1/4" planer delivers power, cutting capacity and ease of use. It is ideal for professional construction framing, window and door installation, and fine woodworking. Its 6.5 AMP motor delivers more output power for increased stock removal and superior finishes. It features a precision machined aluminum base for planing accuracy and a machined aluminum and balanced planer drum for reduced vibration and added durability. The base plate foot protects both materials and blade from damage, as well as its spring-loaded stand which elevates the base. Its rigid, die-cast aluminum housing with all-ball bearing construction provides a longer tool life. With an easy blade-setting system for fast blade installation and lock-on button that enables easy continuous operation, never lose productivity. This planer can be operated from left or right side.
