For this project you will need:
Level | Measuring tape |
Drill | Stud Finder |
Hardware provided in kit | Appropriate safety equipment |
Step 1
Measure where you want your barn door to go and the placement of the top rail. Measure to make sure the bolts will line up with studs using a stud finder. If they don’t, consider using heavy duty drywall anchors.
Step 2
Slide on bump stops for the door on each end of the rail before attaching the rail to the wall. Use a level to make sure the rail is straight.
Step 3
Install hangers onto door about 6” from each edge and lift the door onto the mounted rail. Tighten the bump stops on each end of the rail to where you want the door to stop.
Step 4
Install the barn door track guide on the floor.
