For this project you will need:
Measuring Tape | Tile Mortar |
1/4” x 1/4” Notch Trowel | Tile Spacers |
Grout | Bucket |
Paddle Mixer | Grouting Sponge |
Grout Float | Appropriate Safety Equipment |
Step 1
Ensure floor is clean. Using the laser level, map out your tile layout and mark where first tile row will go. Mix tile mortar and, using notch trowel, spread mortar on floor in small sections and place tile on top. Use tile spacers between tiles.
Step 2
Using tile saw, cut tiles to size. In small spaces, working from the center out helps ensure smaller cuts are on edges. Once complete leave tile spacers for 24hrs until mortar is set.
Step 3
Once tile spacers are removed, clean tiles. Mix grout in bucket with paddle mixer. Spread grout with tile float moving on a diagonal to work grout down between tiles.
Step 4
Using a damp grouting sponge, wipe in circular motion to ensure grout is evenly spread and there are no missed areas. Do a second wipe to make sure grout is at proper level between all your tile seams. Once set, complete a final wipe to clean haze off tile.
