For this project you will need:
Measuring Tape | Stud Finder |
Mitre Saw | Nail Gun |
16g or 18g Finishing Nails | Level |
Appropriate Safety equipment | Pencil/Marking Tool |
Step 1
Measure your wall and determine how much product you will need. Make sure your base floor trim is installed. Using a stud finder, mark out where your studs are on the wall. Familiarize yourself with how the shiplap boards connect and lock into place.
Step 2
Begin by placing your first board on top of the trim ensuring that it is level. Attach the boards to the wall where the marked studs are.
Step 3
Set and lock the boards into each other while staggering your seams as you move up the wall. When you're able to, try and nail into the seams to eliminate nail holes on front panel.
Step 4
Once the wall is complete, fill and sand any nail holes. Caulk the edges and paint.
