Christmas FAQs

?
Q. How do I tell the difference between indoor and outdoor lights?
A: All outdoor lights can be used indoors but not all indoor lights can be used outdoors. The only visual difference is that Indoor lights can sometimes have thinner wires. Most LED light strings are intended for indoor/outdoor use. The only way to truly know if your Christmas light strings are safe for outdoor use is to check the suppliers recommended use or the CSA approval tag attached to the sting.
?
Q. How many light stings can I connect?
A:The number of light strings that can be run in series is limited by the types of bulbs on the string, how much power they use, the length of the string, and the type/gauge of the wire used in the manufacture of the lights. So, all light strings have different connectivity limitations. But all light string boxes will clearly outline the maximum number of sets you can connect. If you connect too many you could start a fire so please be sure to double check before decorating. If you no longer have the box you can check the manufacturer website or ask the retailers where you purchased.
?
Q. What can I do to refresh my Colour Trend without buying all new decorations?
A:Start by purchasing an inexpensive bulk shatterproof ornament set in the preferred new colour trend that can be blended with your current items. Be sure to omit items in the most unfavorable colour. Spray paint any simple wooden or plastic items in the bolded new trend colour. Be sure to purchase neutrals that can continue to be blended over the next few years of trends and buy undecorated greenery that can be reimagined each year with a few simple addons.
?
Q. What is the easiest way to fluff an artificial tree?
A: STEP 1: Place the lowest section of the tree into the base and lower the first layer of branches. Leave the remaining branches in their upright position.
STEP 2: Working from the trunk of the tree out to the tip of each limb, pull apart all the small branches. Arrange some of the branches in a downward position, some straight out and some in an upright position.
STEP 3: Continue to lower one layer of branches at a time. When the bottom tree section is complete, add the next tree section and repeat the process.
?
Q. What Christmas plants are safe for pets?
A: Safe plants: Christmas cactus/Frosty ferns/Lemon cypress Plants to avoid: Poinsettias/Amaryllis/Cyclamen/Fresh pine
