When Will I Be Charged?

The timing of your charge depends on your shipping method and payment method. You may be charged at different times for different items based on when they are shipped, delivered or picked up.

Where a promotion, discount or any other offer is noted as Online Exclusive / Online Promotion / Online Offer or such, the pricing offered on KENT.ca is not valid in store.

General Information:

  • After placing an order, your bank will place a temporary authorization hold on your card.
  • This may appear as a pending charge until your item(s) are shipped, delivered, or picked up.
  • Depending on your bank’s policy and the timing of the shipment a reauthorization may appear; this is to confirm the funds are still available. The funds will only be deducted once.
  • If your payment is declined or your order is canceled, the pending charge will be automatically removed. Depending on your banking institution, this may take up to 5 business days.

Billing by Order Type:

In-Store Pickup

  • You’ll be charged when you pick up your item(s).

KENT Delivery

  • You’ll be charged within 1 business day after your item(s) are delivered.

Parcel Orders

  • You’ll be charged when your item(s) are shipped.

Appliance Delivery

  • You’ll be charged within 1 business day after your item(s) are shipped/delivered.

Billing by Payment Method

Debit/Credit Cards, PayPal®, and Digital Wallets

  • A temporary authorization hold may appear after order placement.
  • The actual charge occurs when your item(s) are shipped, delivered, or picked up.

KENT Financing

  • You’ll be charged the full amount at the time of order placement.
