The voice warning clearly announces ‘FIRE! FEU!’ when smoke or a fire hazard is present, and ‘Warning! Carbon Monoxide! Attention Monoxide de Carbone!’ when CO is detected. It also alerts for ‘Low battery, Pile faible.’ The self-testing smoke and CO alarm continuously checks its components to ensure proper operation. With whole-home alarm activation via hardwired connection to other Kidde alarms, when one alarm sounds, they all do! This device features a photoelectric smoke detector and an electrochemical CO detector. The one-touch button activates the ‘Hush’ function, tests the unit’s electronics, silences low battery chirps, and mutes end-of-life chirps for 24 hours. During a CO alarm, the unit resets (re-entering alarm mode after 6 minutes if CO is still present).
